1 - What´s Easy Geography? The website Easy Geography can be used to create geography lessons online. You can practise or test these lessons. |

2 - How can I create my own lesson? Click on lesson maker. The lesson maker program will start. First you have to fill in the name of your lesson. Attention! Don´t use special characters like è, é, ë, .... They are not displayed correct in the whole program!  Now you have to fill in a link (url) to a map. The map has to be a jpg-file that´s somewhere on the internet. You can find a webpage with maps or sites with maps on www.easygeography.com/maps.html. Fill in the link. Don´t forget the http:// part.At the bottom of the screen is a third textbox. Leave this one empty when you create a new lesson. Click on start to create your lesson. Your map will appear (loading may take some time). There are also some buttons and a text-box.  When the map is too big or too small the first thing you can do is clicking on the plus- and minus-buttons. This will change the size of the map. Attention! Do this before you insert any places on the map! To insert a place click one time on new. Next to the red circle a new red circle will appear. The textbox is filled with new place.  Fill in the name of the place in the textbox. Drag the place to the right place. You can change the appearance and size of the place with the buttons above the word new: (red circle: place; blue square: water; brown square: area). Continue inserting places until you´re finished. To erase a place you have to select it first by clicking on it. After that click one time on erase. A lesson has a maximum of 50 places. Click on ready when you´re finished. A new window will appear. It contains a long link (URL). This link is your lesson. Select and copy the entire link. Attention: Easy Geography does not store the lessons itself! When you close your browser all information is gone. The lesson is stored in the link that´s provided. Make sure you have copied the link! 3 - How can I start a lesson? Copy and paste the lesson-link into the address bar of your internet browser. Press enter. to start the lesson. To use a lesson more than one time you have to save the lesson link. This can for example be done in a text-editor. Just copy and paste the link and save it as a text file. You can also email the link, post it on a forum, use it in a website, etcetera. 4 - How can I edit a lesson that I´ve made earlier? In the lesson maker program is a third textbox at the bottom of the screen. You can copy and paste your lesson link here. Click on start to edit your lesson.  Fill in a new lesson name before you click on start if you want to change the name of the lesson too. 5 - Can I edit a lesson of someone else? Yes, that´s possible. First start the lesson. Then copy the lesson link from address bar of your internet browser.
